Selección de sitio
La nueva pasarela estará ubicada en el área de los muelles sobre el río Liffey que conecta la nueva calle wapping en el muelle norte con Blood Stoney Road en el sur.
La nueva pasarela de 130 m servirá a las comunidades, visitantes y vecindarios existentes a su alrededor al crear un punto de cruce conveniente sobre esta área de regeneración. La estructura formará una nueva puerta de enlace para el acceso directo desde el norte hacia el muelle sur
Nota: se omite la barcaza existente para embarcaciones en el frente de cada una de las orillas del río, lo que indica que el sitio está despejado.
PROGRAMA Y USO DEL ESPACIO
El programa de esta competencia para diseñar una nueva pasarela contemporánea sobre el río Liffey con un tramo mínimo de 130 my 3 m de ancho debe incluir claramente lo siguiente en la propuesta de diseño:
_Puente peatonal: un mínimo de 130 m de largo por 3 m de ancho sobre el río Liffey
_Wifi Hotspot / Hub
_Puntos de carga de dispositivos móviles
_ Estación de estacionamiento de bicicletas con bastidores para al menos 100 bicicletas distribuidas en ambos bancos de muelles
Site selection
The new footbridge Will be located in the docks área over River Liffey connecting new wapping Street on the north dock to Blood Stoney Road on the South.
The new 130 m footbridge Will serve existing communities, visitors and neighbourhoods around it by creating a convenient crossing point over this regenerating área. The estructure Will form a new Gateway to direct Access from the north to the South Dock
Note: the existing barge for boats on the front of each of the river bank is omitted indicating that the site is clear.
PROGRAM AND SPACE USE
The program for this Competition to design a new Contemporary Footbridge over River Liffey with a minimum span of 130m and 3m wide should clearly include the following in the design proposal:
_Pedestrian bridge: a 130m long by 3m wide minimum over the river Liffey
_Wifi Hotspot / Hub
_Mobile Device Charging Points
_Bicycle Parking Station with racks for at least 100 bicycle distributed on both docks Banks
